This is as Canadian as it gets folks, and I love every minute of being back in my happy, friendly and uber-polite country. I arrived Wednesday afternoon to snow on the ground and biting temperatures of below zero. Ahh, the Great White North! This is my first time in Ottawa and I am staying in Stittsville (yes there actually is a place called Stittsville), a suburb just thirty minutes from downtown. It is not unlike the cozy and quaint suburb I grew up in. As we drove to the house from the airport, I stared in awe at the Canadian Geese flying south in their "V" formation. Wow, I can't remember the last time I saw New York pigeons doing that? It doesn't take much to impress this city slicker.
Wednesday morning brought even more good ol' Canadian charm at RogersTV, where myself and Ottawa Curvy Girl, Danielle, were guests on Daytime Ottawa. In New York City, hosts, Lois and Derick would sell as a new SNL skit, but they are indeed the real deal. "Here we have two girls, talking about scoliosis. Boy, try saying scoliosis five times fast! I tried last night!" Yuck, yuck, yuck. We were the last segment and had five and a half minutes. It was a blur. I performed a short snippet at the end as the cheesy theme music chimed in cueing me to wrap it up.
