Phew! What a day. I've been up since 7:30 and haven't stopped until now. Mmm midnight snack of chai tea and kettle corn with SNL reruns. It has been such a "day in the life of an actor in New York" kind of day. I had a meeting over breakfast in Union Square early this morning. I don't think I have ever wandered through the farmer's market that early on a Saturday. Crates of wonderful luscious produce was being unloaded as I walked past. It was a dreary, windy and rainy Saturday. The wet pavement smelled like Vancouver. After my meeting I raced home and then headed out again up to school for a coaching session for my scene night scene. With little time to prepare, I sat on the subway doing a sense memory exercise. Yep, I have become that girl. After our half hour slot, I went to Capezio to purchase my first leotard for our dance performance next week. It makes me feel very Jennifer Beals. Oh what a feeling! Next, I headed to soho to meet a friend for a brunch date/work session. He remembered it was NYFA's auditions for their student films. "You should come and read for a couple films!" I don't have any head shots on me, I look like I just rolled out of bed...umm why not? Cut to me back on the subway, furiously putting on makeup. I show up and am reading the breakdowns when all of a sudden I think...what the hell am I doing here? I don't have time to shoot a short film next weekend! Silly girl...We had a lovely lunch and work session at Epistrophy. Adorable.
Played some pool last night after dinner. Pure Food And Wine was amazing, by the way. Raw mushroom tagliatelle and Pad Thai! So yummy,
Epistrophy. Rule bound notebook menus boast the cafe's simple Italian food.
More tagliatelle! This time with fresh pesto and potatoes.
