It's Monday again and I have another busy week ahead of me! I had a most pleasurable weekend filled with sunshine, spontaneity and surprises. We arrived at Apotheke at the perfect time on Friday. I had said "good luck finding it", and I wasn't kidding. We got out of the cab and the corner looked familiar, but there was all of this road work going on directly in front of where I thought it was situated. I felt incredibly disoriented at first. Generally there is a door man outside...I looked up and saw the familiar "Golden Flower Chinese Restaurant" sign and my eyes wandered down to a beautifully carved antique wooden door that was propped open a hair. I poked my head in. We're here. Within half an hour of us being there, there was a bouncer outside with a guest list and a queue of twenty people or more. Lucky! We indulged in absinthe cocktails and people watched. We're still wondering who "The Captain" was? A man dressed in a long beige trench, aviators and a naval captain's hat was back and forth between the bar and the door with his clipboard all night. Hmm we'll just have to go back and find out. We decided to switch it up and make a move to the East Village for the rest of the night. Cheap beer, pub food and a gay strip club...?! Yea I still don't know how I ended up there either. But let me tell you, despite the fact that I was the only girl in the place, my big brown Bambi eyes, wider than ever before, drew no attention. Saturday was stunning. I was in Soho for brunch and I could have wandered languidly through the yard sales and boutiques all day. Cafe Gitane does brunch right, with its french-morrocan inspired menu. Who can go wrong with avocado, chili flakes, olive oil and lemon on seven grain toast? It was one of those days where in Vancouver, the sun-worshipers would have come out of hibernation in full force, albeit it being no more than twelve degrees celsius. Convertibles would have their tops down, Stanley park would be flooded with rollerblades and bikes and patrons would be begging restaurants to open their patio! Spring is here! Later on that night I headed to the West Village for drinks and dancing. Daylight Savings Time came as a shock when I noticed the time change on my phone at 3 am. Summer is awesome but I love how the first few spring days can make a city smile. Goodbye down coats and Hunters, hello spring fashion! Love this in the March issue of Nylon magazine. So flirty and bohemian!

|Speaking of hibernation, the sun brought this big bear out of bed. You can't really tell in this photo, but this dog was huge. From behind, I actually thought it was a person in a bear costume.|
|Variety. My favourite Williamsburg cafe.|
